1983 Ibanez roadster II Bass

This Ibanez Roadstar II RB-924 model was manufactured in 1983 only and was featured on the front of that year’s Ibanez Bass catalog. Its got a Birdseye Maple top w/a Cherry Sunburst finish over an Alder body, 4 ply binding & a 3 piece Maple neck w/a standard 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Its Roadster style headstock is also quite cool. She’s equipped w/1 Super P5S and 1 Super P6 pickups. Its AccuCast B bridge works well & its got a  Master Volume, Master Tone w/Pickup Balance Knobs w/a “Tri-Sound switch” for humbucking, single coil, and parallel selection. Made in Japan. The neck is perfectly straight & plays effortlessly. Action is nice and low with no buzz.  Its also equipped w/a rare set of 4 different magnetic fingerboards by Novatone. It includes 1 Fretless aluminum board, 1 fretless lined board & 1 w/regular jumbo frets. They all interchange w/each other & give you so many choices w/out bringing a 2nd or 3rd bass. This Novatone option was as expensive as this RB-924 was new. Overall its quite excellent & comes in a nice original hard case & a seperate case for its extra fingerboards.
